FAQs

Choosing Your Coffee

Which Worthwhile coffee should I try first?

For an approachable everyday cup, start with Worth Daily. It is a smooth, balanced medium-dark roast with chocolate, almond, toasted-nut, cinnamon, and cocoa-caramel notes.

If you want more character and a distinctly Philippine-grown blend, choose Worth Elevating. It combines Besao Arabica and Sultan Kudarat Robusta, with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, jackfruit, and pomelo.

For a brighter, more expressive coffee, try Worth Exploring. It is a limited, rotating 100% Arabica release featuring fruit, cacao, floral notes, and natural sweetness.

What is the difference between Worth Daily and Worth Elevating?

Worth Daily is our balanced, beginner-friendly everyday coffee. It is a 50/50 blend of washed Arabica from Vietnam and Brazil Cerrado.

Worth Elevating is our signature Philippine blend. It combines 70% washed Arabica from Besao, Mt. Province, with 30% natural-process Robusta from Sultan Kudarat.

Both are medium-dark omni-roasts, but Worth Elevating offers more fruit character and complexity.

What is Worth Exploring?

Worth Exploring is our limited, rotating specialty release. The origin, processing method, and flavor profile may change between releases, so each batch offers something new to discover.

Are all Worthwhile coffees grown in the Philippines?

Not all of them. Worth Elevating features Philippine-grown coffee from the Cordilleras and Sultan Kudarat. Worth Daily uses international Arabicas. Worth Exploring is a rotating release, so its current origin should be checked on the product page.

What do “tasting notes” mean?

Tasting notes describe the flavors and aromas naturally experienced in the brewed coffee—similar to how wine may be described as fruity, floral, or chocolatey. They do not necessarily mean those ingredients were added to the beans.

What is an omni-roast?

An omni-roast is developed to work well across several brewing methods instead of being intended for only espresso or only filter coffee.

Wholebean, Ground Coffee, and Brewing

Should I order wholebean or ground coffee?

Choose wholebean if you have a grinder and want the most flexibility and freshness. Choose ground coffee if you prefer convenience.

For the best result, the grind size should match your brewing method.

Which brewing methods can I use?

Worth Daily is designed for pour-over, drip, coffee press, and espresso. Worth Elevating and Worth Exploring are also omni-roasts that can be enjoyed across different brewing methods.

Your ideal grind size and recipe may vary by method.

Can I use Worthwhile coffee for espresso?

Yes. Worth Daily and Worth Elevating are medium-dark omni-roasts and can be brewed as espresso. Wholebean is recommended if you need to dial in the grind for your espresso machine.

Can I use it for cold brew?

Yes, although Worthwhile should publish a recommended cold-brew recipe so customers know the suggested coffee-to-water ratio and steeping time.

How should I store my coffee?

Keep coffee sealed in its original bag or in another airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and strong odors. Avoid repeatedly opening a large container if it will take a long time to finish.

How long will the coffee stay fresh?

Coffee is best enjoyed reasonably 5 days after the roast date and 30 days after opening.
